Israel’s Independence Day

The Jewish Community of Warsaw cordially invites to the commemoration of Israel’s Independence Day and the Day of Remembrance for the Fallen Soldiers on 11 May at 18:00 hours at the Nożyk Synagogue.

The program includes: prayers, rising of the flag, stories about the fallen soldiers, lighting of 12 candles, blowing the Shofar and much more.

Ruth Cohen Dar, the Vice-Ambassador of Israel and Lesław Piszewski, the President of the Union of the Jewish Communities of Poland will give their speeches. The choir of the Lauder-Morasha Schools will perform with a selection of Hebrew songs.

There will be a specially prepared program for children!

After the ceremony we invite everyone for kosher falafels at the White Building and the screening of an Israeli movie “Boker tov adon Fidelman” (English title: Restoration) with Polish subtitles.
