Summer is the time when children cannot get bored. While some of them joined summer camps in the United States and returned home happy and excited, the others stayed in the city and participated in our summer school program. This year, the educational program focused on social responsibility, ecology, nature and Jewish history. In total, seventy-nine children aged 4-12 participated in the summer program in Warsaw. They visited i.e. the Nozyk Synagogue, JCC Warsaw, museums, libraries, pariticipated in creative arts workshops and sport activities. They also went to Warsaw ZOO and met an oceanographer. An important part of the program was spending extra time with two ponies the children have been supporting during the year: Yalda and Susa.
The program is organized and financed by the Lauder-Morasha Schools in Poland, the Jewish Community in Warsaw, Atid Foundation and the Jewish Distribution Commmittee in Poland.
Special thanks to Ralph Schub and Marsha Miller for their support.
