Ekev, Deuteronomy 7:12 – 11:25

In this week’s Parshat Moshe tells us that we should bind the words of the commandments on our arms and between our eyes, this is the tension necessary for us to keep moving forward with spiritual growth. Once our service of G!d has come to rest in the intellectual and emotional realm then we need specifically to shift it back to the world of action. When our service of G!d is through our deed then we need to purify our intentions and understanding of what we are doing. Each of us serves G-d in our own specific way, but no one serves G!d in just one way.
